Egg Tempera Paintings
Inspired by Shells and Nature


All artwork on this page are traditional egg tempera paintings. The method is to break the egg and use the egg yolk with powdered pigments. It is one of the oldest methods of painting used. It was a method that the Ancient Egyptians and the Greeks used that still survive today.
